…Is fun, plain and simple. We’ve always believed in the power of fun and the community that grows around having it.
What it all boils down to is you: we built these treasure hunts for you to have some outside-of-the-norm fun. While we’re avid believers in the journey being more important than the destination, it doesn’t hurt having a big ol' treasure chest waiting for you at the end of the road.

About Us
While our love for fun and games started as kids, what really kicked things off was when Bane opened up Lock Chicago Escape Room Games in Evanston, IL with a friend in 2015. Seeing the way fun brought people together was an eye opening experience, and Bane built on that when he and a friend released Roamli, a free app for exploring cities.
Treasure hunts were the next obvious step, combining a passion for puzzles and a love for discovery to give people another way to get out there and have fun in an exciting and different way. Life is one big adventure after all!
Shout out to Utah Treasure Hunts, who started doing treasure hunts in Utah back in 2020 and have built an amazing community around themselves. They’re a big inspiration for Bane’s Treasure Hunts, and we highly recommend you check them out.
